## Is the Rivian R1S worth considering?

On Edmunds' mixed route the 2025 R1S came within 3–6% of its EPA ranges, but Car and Driver's 75 mph test gave a Tri-Motor Max only 250 miles, and no version uses less than 39 kWh/100 mi on the EPA cycle. It suits buyers who need seven seats, towing and off-road ability more than efficiency, and the recall list is long.
