How Charjin checks a claim.

• Primary: manufacturer specifications, manuals, homologation databases, regulators, charging networks and government agencies.
• Corroborating: independent test organisations and established technical publications.
• Context: reporting that explains availability, changes and market conditions.

WLTP, EPA and CLTC range values are kept separate. Gross and usable battery capacity are labelled when known. A peak charging rate is not presented as an average charging rate. If a specification varies by trim or market, the page says so.

Official facts link back to a source. Calculator results are clearly identified as estimates and show their inputs. If a value cannot be verified confidently, Charjin says it is unknown rather than filling the gap with a plausible number.

Other publishers’ reports tell Charjin that something has happened. They are never the material a piece is written from. Each story is researched again from its primary sources: the announcement, the filing, the regulator, the dataset or the paper. Its key facts are confirmed by at least three independent publishers and at least one primary source, and every piece ends with the answer for a reader, what is still unknown and an evidence register.

Charjin uses AI to research and draft. A research step reads the sources on the web and records each fact with the page it came from. Any fact whose page was not actually retrieved is discarded. Short quotes are kept for checking only and never published.

A writing step works only from those recorded facts and the Charjin car file. Every factual paragraph lists the facts it rests on. Automatic checks then confirm that each cited fact exists and that every figure in the text appears in the facts it cites. A separate fact-checking step reviews each claim against the sources and flags anything unsupported, overstated or contradicted. Flagged claims are corrected or removed; a piece that still fails is held and not published.

By default a finished piece waits in a review queue until an editor approves it. Every piece says on the page how it was made, and whether an editor reviewed it.

Each analysis records its publication date, latest review and any corrections. Car file figures carry the date they were last checked against their source.
