Is the Audi Q6 e-tron worth considering?

Our view. Independent tests back up its fast charging, with ADAC and NAF both measuring 10–80% in about 20 to 23 minutes. ADAC's measured range was about 12% below the WLTP figure, while Edmunds beat the US EPA figure on its slower mixed route.

Range

  • ADAC ADAC Ecotest: Audi Q6 e-tron performance, September 2025

565 km vs 641 km WLTP

    Close · 88% Published reference

Q6 e-tron performance, rear-wheel drive, 225 kW, 100 kWh gross / 94.9 kWh net. ADAC Ecotest cycle; range derived from measured consumption including charging losses. About 12% below Audi's German WLTP figure; ADAC's own page lists the WLTP figure as 646 km in its data table and 637 km in its text.

  • Edmunds Edmunds EV Range Test: 2027 Audi Q6 e-tron, August 2026

337 mi vs 301 mi EPA

Beats the claim · 112% Market or version specific

2027 Q6 e-tron (trim not stated in the report; EPA figure is for the quattro on 20-inch tyres). Edmunds route, 60% city and 40% highway, average 40 mph, climate on auto at 72 °F, US. Read through Electrek's report because Edmunds' page refused access; it also measured 29.3 kWh/100 mi against the EPA's 35. The slow route favours range more than motorway driving does.

Efficiency

  • ADAC ADAC Ecotest: Audi Q6 e-tron performance, September 2025

    Local check needed

Q6 e-tron performance, rear-wheel drive, 225 kW, 100 kWh gross / 94.9 kWh net. ADAC Ecotest cycle, consumption including charging losses. ADAC's figure includes charging losses, which WLTP figures also include; ADAC lists 16.3 kWh/100 km WLTP for this version, but Audi's own page gives only a range, so no official figure is paired.

Rapid charging

  • ADAC ADAC charging test: Audi Q6 e-tron performance, September 2025

Speed, temperature, wind, elevation, tyres, load and cabin heating or cooling all change real-world range. How EPA, WLTP and CLTC differ.

How quickly does it charge?

The highest published DC figure is Up to 270 kW. 10–80% in about 21 minutes claimed; 11 kW AC. A peak rate is reached briefly; the average across a session is lower.

Home charging time depends on the energy added, the car’s AC limit, the charger and the supply. Estimate a session with this car’s battery.

What to check before buying

Who is it for?
Drivers who want a large electric SUV that charges quickly on long trips.
What needs checking?
Range depends on version, wheel size and market, and Audi's own range figures vary between its pages and model years.
What is the evidence?
Audi's own figures, ADAC range, consumption and charging tests, an NAF charging test, an Edmunds range test, a Euro NCAP rating and US recall records.
