Market or version specificIs the BYD Atto 2 worth considering?
Our view. With the smaller battery, ADAC measured 20.4 kWh/100 km against 16.0 WLTP, or about 250 km instead of 312 km, and What Car?'s UK test pointed to 174 miles against an official 214. It suits mainly local driving; the 64.8 kWh Comfort charges much faster and has a 430 km WLTP range, but no independent test of that version was found.

What to check before buying
- Who is it for?
- Drivers who mostly make local and suburban trips and want a small, high-riding electric car with a 400-litre boot.
- What needs checking?
- Battery size, which differs between markets and trims and decides both range and charging speed. No Euro NCAP rating for the Atto 2 was found, and no recall record could be checked.
- What is the evidence?
- An ADAC Autotest and Ecotest of the 45.1 kWh Boost (February 2026) and a What Car? real-world range result for the UK Boost (October 2025).
