What to check before buying
- Who is it for?
- Buyers who want a large electric family SUV with fast charging on the top version and a 1,500 kg braked towing limit on the four-wheel-drive versions.
- What needs checking?
- Which battery and charging speed the car has: only the Excellence AWD has the 91.3 kWh battery and 230 kW charging. No recall record could be checked, as BYD does not sell the car in the US and the UK DVSA recall checker could not be read.
- What is the evidence?
- An ADAC Autotest and Ecotest of the Excellence AWD (February 2026), a NAF summer charging test (2025) and a Euro NCAP five-star rating (2025).
