Is the Kia EV9 worth considering?

Our view. Efficient for its size: ADAC measured 22.2 kWh/100 km on the all-wheel-drive GT-Line, just under the WLTP figure, and NAF recorded 442 km in winter against 505 km WLTP. Charging matched Kia's 24-minute claim in both ADAC and NAF tests, but US buyers should check a long recall list for 2024–2026 cars.

What to check before buying

Who is it for?
Families who need three rows of seats and drive long distances, and who have room to park a five-metre car.
What needs checking?

What is the evidence?
Official figures from Kia Germany, Ireland and the UK and fueleconomy.gov, NAF winter and summer range tests and a winter charging test, the ADAC Autotest and Ecotest, the Edmunds range test, Euro NCAP and the NHTSA recall database.
